As every year, the Colmar Wine Fair opens its doors to wine and music lovers from France and around the world. Exhibitions, concerts and tastings galore await you at this gourmet festival!
Today, we present this not-to-be-missed event if you’re visiting little Venice this summer. And if you’re there, don’t forget to visit the town’s architectural wonders, such as the Pfister House and the Collegiale Saint-Martin.
A combination of fair and music festival, this unique event promotes Alsace’s fine wines and the work of local winemakers.
The Foire aux Vins site is divided into two parts: on the one hand, there’s the fair-exhibition at the Zénith in Colmar. More than 300 exhibitors will be showcasing local gastronomy and products through their exhibitions and events of all kinds.
On the other hand, the open-air theater hosts a variety of musical performances. At the Foire aux Vins de Colmar, concert time has become a must for many festival-goers. Hip-hop, rock-n-roll, hard rock, electro or jazz, there’s something for everyone! Every year, artists from all generations and backgrounds come together to put on an unforgettable musical show.

Colmar has always been renowned for its rich heritage and wine-growing region. It was against this backdrop that the very first edition of the Foire Régionale des Vins d’Alsace was held in 1948.
At the inauguration, a small agricultural fair welcomed the few visitors who had flocked to meet the region’s best winegrowers. It was an unpretentious exhibition that quickly attracted attention far beyond Colmar’s borders.
Indeed, the event has become one of Alsace’s most popular festivals, while retaining its roots of sharing and good humor since its inception.
Colmar is also not far from towns such as Munster, Guebwiller and Kaysersberg. So you’ll have plenty of opportunity to visit other medieval towns in the Haut-Rhin!
If you love wine and would like to learn more about its secrets, this is the place to be! Numerous exhibitors are expected to present their products, as well as hosting themed conferences.
What’s more, the Colmar Wine Fair offers a rich program of cultural and musical events. And this latest edition promises plenty of surprises, too!
For some, the Colmar Wine Fair is all about concerts, but its primary role is to promote local Alsatian products.

As a reminder, the different grape varieties of the region are:
You’ll also have the chance to taste Crémant d’Alsace, the region’s star sparkling wine.
Every year, the Fair welcomes big names in French and international music on the stage of the open-air theater.
